Des dalles de marbre chauffées par le soleil éclatant. Des fragments de statues et de colonnades, canons de beauté antique, des bijoux tape à l’œil, des ongles rouges et des ergots acérés. Le paon, prof de voile ou éphèbe antique se révèle touche par touche dans un montage impressionniste où compositions de vanités et souvenirs de plage s’entrecroisent.
Sunlit slabs of marble. Fragments of statues and colonnades, bastions of Classical beauty, flashy jewels, painted red fingernails, steely talons… The cautionary story of the peacock, aka windsurfing teacher, aka adonis, is told through a series of tableaux composed from a hotch potch of vanity objects and beach souvenirs.
